16. July EREF welcomes the new REN 21 Global Status Report  -  Update 2010 for Renewables.
REN 21 Global Status report 2010 again underlines the success story of renewables and the need for robust policy instruments, financing conditions and sustainability.

02. June EREF welcomes the European Parliaments Environment Committees decision
to reject the suggestion that renewable energy systems should be included in the scope of a directive about household goods. This would have created another competitive disadvantange against renewable energies, EREF President Rainer Hinrichs-Rahlwes underlines.
26. May Rainer Hinrichs-Rahlwes elected as new EREF President
On the occasion of EREF's annual General Assembly held on 20th May in Paris / France, Rainer Hinrichs-Rahlwes was unanimously elected new President of the European Renewable Energies Federation (EREF). He succeeds Dr. Nikos Vassilakos who stepped down as EREF president in March 2010 due to his appointment as Chairman of the Greek National Regulatory Authority for Energy.

to his new position as Chairman of the National Greek Regulatory Authority for Energy.
The President of EREF Dr. Nikos Vassilakos is appointed by the Greek Government and approved by the Greek Parliament as the new Chairman of the National Regulatory Authority for Energy.
